Kyra Miniturn Sedgwick is known as a well-known American TV and film actress for many years. She's well known around the world, but especially in America because of her principal role in the film 'The Closer. Sedgwick had a passion for art, acting and Broadway when she was just twelve years old. Her mother showed a keen fascination with the Broadway and brought her into it. Sedgwick had her first stage performance at the age of 16, as she was a part of "Another World," the TV series. She had a desire to become a well-known actor and not only small-screen part that attracted Sedgwick initially. Her first big screen role was in the movie 'Born on the Fourth of July in which she was co-starring with Tom Cruise. Sedgwick continued to get parts as she became successful with the film. She also got other films like : Singles, Heart and Souls and Phenomenon. Sedgwick met Kevin Bacon in a TV show named Lemon Sky. She married Kevin at 22. Sedgwick has left her mark on American TV through her easiness in performing. The Closer ran for 7 seasons and won her several awards including the Golden Globe.
